Cinnamon and raisin energy ball recipe (plant based, GF and nut free)
the perfect little pick me up energy ball that you can prep for the week ahead!
My new obsession is this Sunfly sunflower seed butter, and because I can’t eat peanut butter/ any sort of nut butter, I LOVE when I find a new substitute that I can implement into my recipes… I often see many recipes using nut butters in baked goods or sweet treats, so now is the moment! I can’t wait to experiment more with it trying different recipes for chocolate chip cookies, chocolate covered energy balls and so much more.
Ingredients
*makes c. 12 balls*
125g or 1/2 cup sunflower seed butter
60ml or 1/4 cup agave/ maple syrup/ honey
1 tsp vanilla extract
80g or 1 cup oats (GF, rolled)
30g or 1/4 cup protein collagen powder
0.5 tsp cinnamon
a pinch of salt
60g or 1/3 cup raisins
Method
First whisk together the sunflower seed butter, syrup & vanilla extract.
Then add the rest of your dry ingredients until fully combined.
Roll into small ball shapes (c. 1 tablespoon), pop in the fridge for 20 mins ish & enjoy!
