Lemon and cardamom buns (plant based)
soft, squishy fragrant buns which tear apart delightfully and pair beautifully with a cup of coffee in the morning!
I am always curious to try out new baking techniques and expand my skillset as a baker even if I am not currently actively selling to local customers or businesses anymore! So this week I tried my hand at this gorgeous knotted twisty bun, inspired by those classic Swedish buns that are served for Fika. They are spiced with cardamom and zesty lemons and are lighter than my epic morning buns. But they work perfectly for a breakfast treat with coffee in the morning, and the dough would benefit from an overnight rest; for example, if you made them on Saturday evening, they would most definitely be ready for Sunday morning.
